5.      Brief Introduction: This is a huge volume on Ayurvedic Medicine edited painstakingly from a limited number dilapidated palm leaf and paper manuscripts. The author has collected information, not only from the acclaimed classics of Ayurveda such as ‘Charaka Samhita’ and ‘Sushruta Samhita’, .but also from various schools of folk medicine. Material is collected from Sanskrit, Kannada and Telugu sources. The Kannada translation of Telugu material, provided by B.S. Sannaiah runs to 170 pages. It seems that the material presented in this text is collected by a team rather than a single person. Even the edition by Sannaiah, is incomplete. The complete manuscript which is now available is yet to be published.
